Ramblings Amidst Much Danger

Ramblings amidst danger…

Am I the only person in the world (with the possible exception of Glenn Beck) that believes that this country is at war and that this war will not end even if we pull our troops out of Iraq? Am I the only one who believes that this phase of the war began in 1979, but has been going on since the early Middle Ages?

I am really getting fed up with the left in this country putting the idea of regaining political power ahead of the very salvation of our country and institutions that we hold dear. This group, financed by Moveon.org and other near communist organizations, has had some success in turning a war-weary general population from the issues that are most important to us and turning the protectors of these institutions into “monsters.” The Bush hating bunch has finally began to wear on the general population and they are now listening to some of this garbage being spewed constantly. The latest polls put Bush at some of the lowest levels of popularity in the history of the country. I guess this is not uncommon, however, as war presidents have always failed in popularity polls.

Last night, Shawn Hannity was interviewing some black cleric from New York that could have been just as easily from Syria or Iran. He was promoting the same ideas that these places are preaching to the world trying to win the minds and hearts of the world’s people to hold American and Israel in contempt as warmongers. These people would like nothing more than to see the might of the US become neutered so that the powerful in the Muslim robes could “rule the world.” This is nothing new. Hitler tried it and almost succeeded before the likes of Churchill endured what Bush is enduring now and finally won. I only hope that we see the same. The main difference in the threat that we are now facing compared to Hitler’s third Reich is the fanaticalism of the followers to find their happiness with Allah in another world. This makes them extremely dangerous, as they don’t care if they die in accomplishing their killing goals. It is almost like the Kami Kaze fighters of the Japanese at the end of WW2: but, unlike the Japanese who were resorting to a “last ditch” effort, these guys see this as their main weapon of war. The Kamikaze pilots only began to resort to this practice when conventional means were failing. Thank God for Harry Truman and his decision to drop the bomb!! Can you imagine the press today if we would use these methods to get this thing over??

The congress of the US is acting so irresponsibly, it is almost incomprehensible that personal power could over ride good judgment. I cannot believe that the likes of Palozzi, Reid and Teddy Kennedy don’t know what is at stake. Yet, they are willing to forego what we have to do to survive to accomplish their selfish goal of regaining the white house in 2008. I guess they feel that if they can show that Bush has failed and get the job done after 2008, that the dems will again win the hearts and minds of the American people. Surely, they don’t really think that it is possible to reason with these fanatics.

Amidajad has made known to all what he proposes to do and Israel will not stand by and let it happen. They know that they will be immediately swept off the face of the earth when the fanatics get the ability to do so. If we do not win this thing in Iraq, Israel will have to “go it alone” and we will surely see the use of nuclear weapons. I’m sure that if the dems are successful in pulling our troops from Iraq, we will see an immediate reaction from Israel and we will also see 60% of the world’s oil supply pass to the hands of these fanatics that will then have the where the all to destroy our oil-based economy. There is not enough time to develop alternate sources of energy and we will come to a stand still if the oil does not flow freely. Sure, we could make an argument that it would be economically disastrous for the world as well as the US economy drives the world’s economy. But don’t forget, dear readers, these people do not care of total disaster, in fact, they thrive on it and want to promote it so that they can, by sheer force, gain the power that they believe is their divine mission. It is really scary…

Crying in your beer Ramblings

Crying in your beer Ramblings…..

I don’t know whether I feel worse that the Redskins and Steelers are losing or that the GOP has taken some knocks in the election held yesterday. It is a sad day in Gipperville!!! It is also a happy day in certain circles in Iran, Iraq and North Korea. At last they may get rid of their nemesis, Rumsfield.

The winning of the House yesterday and, as of this writing, the likely winning of the senate by the Democrats can only mean that the next two years will be the vindication of all that the Democrats have been preaching these past several years that “Bush is Bad” and his policies are worse. It is actually a sad day in the history of the country. The Democrats learned a lot from the past several elections and mimicked the Republican machine in winning this fight. I guess it may have been necessary to preserve a second party in this country, as another loss would most certainly have disbanded the Dems as we know them. There may also be another ray of hope in that many of the new Democrats who prevailed over old Republicans appeared to more centrist than the elders of either party.

I wrote these sentiments in November and now as Christmas approaches, it is becoming clear that the Democratic machine has not only been successful in re-taking the congress, but now seems poised to make a serious run at the presidency. Obama has suddenly become a major candidate gaining popularity with the young people of the nation as the “Rock Candidate”. I can’t figure out what that means, but I bet that Begalia and Carvelle will jump on it. Unless of course, Hillary decides to run and not throw her support to him. Many doubt that tho, as Hillary has been pointed to the White House ever since she and Bill and Monica left.

The antics of Carvelle and Begalia were felt as the election year of 2004 progressed. They were able to take the meanderings of Michael Moore and George Soros and feed it to the American public with much more success than the original perpetrators ever had. It was “no holds barred” and little concern was given to the welfare of the country in succeeding in their task of belittling Bush and his administration. There is no doubt that History will remember Bush fondly despite the recent Bush hatred that now seems so prevalent. Bush has been right and the left has been wrong. The “boys” really did their job of convincing the American people otherwise with twisted facts and repeated advertisements. They were relentless. Sooner or later as the people tired of the long war, any answer looked good!!! It really didn’t matter to the Dem spinmasters that they were doing harm to our country as they believed (I guess) that unless it was their socialistic, secular version, it wasn’t worth anything anyway.

This Obama thing has been making me think about how the young people of the nation are now looking at politics. My grandson has been giving us much grief and no doubt because of the pervasive attitudes of most of our young people and his associates. He has a talent for making the wrong people his “friends”. These same “wrong” people just may be the ones that the Obama dems are looking for, The magic word might just be “Rock Star” if Obama is to succeed. These kids are so caught up in themselves and self gratification that they see little past their favorite “tunes.” Many of these young people are beginning to feel the effects of the constant bombardment of the left that permeates our schools systems both high school and college. The socialistic movement is alive and well in the academic world. These teachers are living in a make believe world that they manufacture thinking that the social evils of capitalism must be stopped. Sure, in practice, socialism sounds good. The only problem is that, in practice it doesn’t work… My youngest daughter came out of college breathing fire as a liberal do-gooder. Today, after spending about 15 years in the real world, working to accomplish what she has, she is now a young Anne Coulter!!! God Bless her. My oldest daughter appears to continue to hold on to some of what she perceives as idealistic ideas that tend to be left leaning. I guess it’s her exposure to the medical world. She is a Registered Nurse and has not had to compete in the business world yet.

I don’t know what the answer is to salvage our young and teach some real life experiences to the young. I find the versions of history that are now being taught to be unsavory as well. It appears that everything is being changed to denigrate white America in favor of the black community. Were there injustices that occurred with the practice of slavery… you bet!!! But that doesn’t change the fact that America has been the most successful experiment in human government in the history and that our forefathers established a system that is second to none. It has evolved and changed and accommodated the injustices that came to light as we grew, but our basic principles are now under fire. This country was established on Anglo-Saxon Christian doctrine that gave a religious basis for America’s laws. We cannot change the principals that were established to make us great for the benefit of minority groups that want change for change sake. The sacrament of marriage and the sanctity of a family unit that is made up of a father and a mother (male and female) must be protected. We cannot allow the attacks on our religious freedom. Black America has every right to enjoy the basic freedoms, as do all of the other people of color and other religions; however, we cannot do it so that it is unjust to the majority of people in the country. (Although experts say that the people of color will be the majority at some future time.) Never the less, the Bill of Rights will still protect anyone who wears the Red, White and Blue with pride. We cannot tolerate those that would burn it.
